Interesting case of a man with Schwarte (destroyed lung), that pulls the heart onto the right side of chest.
Patient came to the ER with a complaint of shortness of breath. Vital signs were checked and there was only a mild fever, and elevated respiratory rate. While physical examination, heart sounds were not heard in the left side of the chest, and surprisingly it was heard at the right side of the chest...
I was very confused on how to ECG the patient ??
After the x-ray came out, it was found out that the patient has destroyed lung, and pulled the heart to the far right side of the chest. The patient didn't feel any pain whatsoever...
Ps: the ECG placement in the chest was reversed due to suspect of dextrocardia
Correction: it should be only destroyed lung. Mistook schwarte and destroyed lung are the same...
