The patient is 5 years old.  We see the presence of a battery in the nose.  The situation can be significantly complicated if aspiration occurs into the stomach or lungs, as this can lead to dangerous consequences in the form of perforation.

Adenoid hypertrophy in this patient may prevent further battery advancement.
