This patient was sent to me with the question if he had developed a ”frozen shoulder” post surgery. Unfortunately it seems to be more of a mechanical problem due to the Philos plate being located a bit high. On ultrasound (see video) you can see how the screw penetrates the supraspinatus tendon and also seems to hit the undersurface of the acromion when the patient move his arm in abduction...?
I saw the patient 4 months post surgery. On X-ray you can see the location of the plate but also that the fracture hasn’t healed yet.
I guess the plate can be removed once the fracture has fully healed ?
