The X-ray and ultrasoundimages belongs to 90 year old woman with OA of the knee joint and the femuropatellar joint. Her family was throwing her a birthday party but she was in so much pain from her knee and could bearly walk. She begged me to inject her knee when she came to see me for her shoulder. So I gave her an intraarticular injection of corticosteroids and she was able to take part in the celebrations almost pain free…???
Orthopedic surgeons out there, would you ever consider a knee replacement on a 90 year old if their medical condition allowed it??
