These are the X-ray images from a 44 year old woman who fell on her shoulder 5 weeks ago. The radiology report is short and concise ? No fracture, no dislocation.
Referred to me with the question: Rotator Cuff Tear?
Clinical presentation with poor function in active abduction and flexion. Good passive range of motion. No cuff tear was detected but an undislocated fracture of the Greater Tubercle. ”The hidden fracture”. Can be hard to spot on a standard trauma X—Ray. We usually see them in much more detail on ultrasound ?
