44 year old man who fell and landed on his outstreched arm. Referred to me for ultrasound on suspicious subscapularis rupture. On ultrasound the tendon looks intact but the footprint of the tendon on the lesser tubercle does not ?
I referred the patient to X-ray and then discussed with my shoulder surgeons...
It isn’t always that easy to get the whole picture of lesser tubercle fractures on plain X-ray so a CT was ordered as well. After reviewing those images, they took the decision to manage the fracture conservatively...
