This patient was unfortunately told she did not need surgery for her fractured greater tubercle....
I met her 4 months after the trauma. Poor function, can only abduct to about 60°. Flexion: 80° and external rotation to 30°. Both on clinical examination and ultrasound you get the feeling that the fracture comes in conflict with the overlying acromion.
Not so much pain. She is 54 years old and very active.....
